Consumer Law Reforms

The laws affecting consumers and traders have undergone reform recently. Some of the changes to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 will come into effect in June 2014, including a prohibition of unfair contract terms in standard form consumer contracts, and a new guarantee relating to the delivery of goods and services.
